Processing Methods : Flotation Separation Process
The copper ore processing plant is often used in Flotation separation process. Before the flotation of the medicine, the copper ore is coarsely ground into small pieces, and then ground to a certain particle size, and then the beneficiation agent is added therein. In this way, the ore particles float up, and the final foam product is collected and further dehydrated to obtain copper concentrate, which is sent to the smelter for copper smelting.
Main equipmentfeeder, jaw crusher, vibrating screen, ball mill, spiral classifier, flotation separator, dryer. The copper processing and production technology mainly includes four processes: crushing and screening, grinding, flotation separation and drying.
The first stage: Crushing And ScreeningLarge pieces of copper ore are evenly fed into the jaw crusher by the vibrating feeder through the silo for crushing; after being screened by the vibrating screen, the stone that meets the requirements enters the second stage, otherwise it undergoes secondary crushing;
Second stage: GrindingMaterials with a size of 0-25 mm are evenly sent to the ball mill for grinding, and are screened by a spiral classifier. Materials that do not meet the requirements are sent to the ball mill for continued grinding;
The third stage: Flotation SeparationSend the Copper powder that meets the mineral processing requirements into the flotation machine for flotation to remove impurities;
The fourth stage: DryingThe obtained copper powder is sent to a dryer for drying to obtain iron fine powder.
Flotation technology can produce high-quality concentrates with copper content as high as 20%-40% from raw ore with a grade of less than 1%.
The combination of modern flotation technology and automated control systems can achieve copper recovery rates of 90%-95% or higher.
